The clocks are going forward and so are the bikes! We have longer and warmer days ahead so maybe it’s time to get out on a ride?
Newbury Road Club is growing fast and has welcomed many new riders since the beginning of the year. You are welcome to join them and us at a ‘Come And Try It’ Ride on Sunday 2 April 2023. It’s an open invitation – just turn up at Newbury Market Place ready to ride at 09.00.

What should I expect? Well, good company, conversation and exercise for a start. They are all part of the feel-good recipe at Newbury Road Club, home of cycling in West Berkshire. And if you like the taste, NRC is now offering more group rides than ever. We run weekend, midweek, evening, women’s and training rides – all with routes carefully graded and planned by experienced cyclists.
Do I need to book? For this event no, though it would be great to know if you are coming so feel free to sign up in advance here, or get in touch using our Contact Form here and select ‘Club Rides’
How far will you go? There will be six rides on Sunday 2 April between approximately 20 and 60 miles, all with café stops. Select what you feel comfortable with or we can help you decide.
How fast will you ride? We grade our rides using the chart shown on this page, but we make sure no one gets left behind.
What kind of Bike will I need? Ideally a Road Bike (i.e. thinner tyres) though Hybrid, e-Bikes and Mountain Bikes will all be welcome.
