NEWBURY

Following last year's hugely successful and enjoyable event, we're doing it again in October. Joining Cycling UK's 'My ride. Our right' mass Glow Rides night of action. Together, we’ll light up the town and call for safer streets and better cycling infrastructure for women riding after dark.

The Newbury Glow Ride is organised jointly by Newbury Road Club, Newbury Velo and West Berkshire Spokes. It will start in Newbury's Market Place with a briefing for participants at approximately 18:45 and set off promptly at 19:00 with local ride leaders. Refreshments will be available at the end.

Women 18+ years can register using the link above. 14-17 year-olds may join the ride but consent from a legal guardian is required. Everyone is welcome to come along to support the riders around the route.

 

The provisional route is shown below and we plan to take two laps, totalling 9km / 5½ miles. The ride will start and end in the Market Place, Newbury, RG14 5BD
