If it’s your first ride with us, then we recommend you join a green ride first to get a feel for group riding. You won’t be left behind and we will make sure you get home safely.

Don’t forget, if you are a woman looking for a women-only ride, click here to be directed to our women’s rides page.

CAN I RIDE IF I AM NOT A MEMBER?

Sure – you are welcome to try two rides before deciding whether to join up. Or, if you are a visitor to Newbury, we would love you to ride with us. Contact us here to sign up.

SHOULD I INSPECT MY BIKE BEFORE A RIDE?

The answer to this is yes! We recommed you check your bike before you leave to make sure that it is safe for both you and others who you will be cycling with. Not sure how to check your bike over? Then follow GCN's guide to checking your bike: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBKeNOBwaVE

  • Spare tube(s), pump or air cannister and toolkit
  • Water bottle and fuel (e.g. banana, energy bar)
  • Money or payment card for the cafe stop

We schedule group rides on- and off-road. They are chatty, social rides and usually include a cafe stop. The slower the pace – the more the chat. We ride at the speed of the slowest so you won’t get left behind and we’ll make sure you get home safely. See our EVENTS CALENDAR for dates, ride types and times.
