Christmas ride and lunch at the Fox & Hounds

On a wet and stormy December morning, just a few brave souls ventured out on bikes to ride to the Fox and Hounds in Donnington. While they, no doubt, arrived with appetites sharpened by the exercise, the rest of us opted for cars and then carefully navigated the lakes forming in the car park as testament to the heavy rain.

Warm and dry inside, we enjoyed the great hospitality of the pub and (almost) everyone remembered what they’d ordered several weeks ago. The food was excellent as always and was followed by mince pies baked specially by Justine Fry.

Our Chair, Lorraine, thanked our Special Events organisers for creating this and many other social occasions throughout the year. Thanks were also given to our

band of Ride Leaders who guide our growing membership around the local countryside, in good weather and bad. After a polite reminder from Phil to renew subscriptions before the end of the year, we gathered for a group photo before parting with best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
