More rides added on more days gives NRC members more group riding opportunities then ever.
It’s May already and with the weather getting better, our Club rides are already in full swing. We have some great news to announce – we have increased the variety and number of rides available to us all, creating more opportunities for people who cannot make our existing Sunday or midweek rides.
You should now be able to see the following new rides being created by our outstanding Ride Lead Team on the Club members’ app Spond:
Sunday 45 mile Blue paced rides running every two weeks, which will be led by Fraser Harding, Ellie Gobey and David Glenn. These rides give an opportunity for people who do our 30 mile Blue ride to try a longer ride without having to step up directly to our longer 60 mile Blue ride.
Thursday evening rides will be starting up on 04 May at 18.30, and will be led by Ray Clarke, Gareth Miles and Tom Rossiter. Advertised nominally as Green / Blue pace, the attendees will be split into groups according to their desired riding pace. Faster riders will also be welcome. Once a month these rides will include a social stop at a nearby pub, and once a month we will be running an MTB/Gravel ride. You can read more about these rides here.
Saturday morning rides will be starting on 13 May at 10.00. Initially they will run every two weeks and are being aimed at Green pace, but if there is interest we will look at supporting faster groups. These rides will be led by Chris Little, Andy Worrall, Marwood Jeans and Chris Treacher.
These new rides are in addition to our existing Sunday, Tuesday daytime and evening, and Thursday daytime rides. All the rides and routes will be posted on Spond. If you are not receiving any of the ride invites, send us a message request on Spond and we will add you.
And a reminder of those ride grades again...
