Newbury Road Club was delighted to support Parkinson's UK on Sunday with a Special Ride forming part of a "30 Sports in 30 Days" challenge headed by Gary Shaughnessy.

Gary is Chair of Parkinson’s UK, and was diagnosed with the condition in 2015. Since then, he has raised more than £600,000 by taking on a series of sporting feats each year. This September, he’s tackling 30 different sports in just one month – and one of them was cycling with NRC.

Thanks to all members who supported Gary and the Parkinson's community – a great team effort that embodies the community spirit of our Club!

Our thanks also to Gareth Davies for taking some great photos at the start.

Even if you could not make it, you can still make a difference. Gary’s fundraising is helping to treat, slow, and even work towards reversing Parkinson’s. Every contribution counts.

Live Life, Love Life, Beat Parkinson’s! 💙
