Thank you NRC. You made a difference in 2021.

We didn’t just turn our pedals in 2021. We also raised a few pounds along the way. It’s always good to lend a hand and in 2021, when many charities were unable to fundraise, NRC members did their bit.

For the British Heart Foundation, we raised nearly £500 through donations, raffles at our social events and a cycling quiz. Your donations will help them in their fight to ‘Beat Heartbreak Forever’.

In memory of our much-missed rider Liz Jenkins, we contributed donations towards the Duchess of Kent Sue Ryder Hospice where she was cared for in her final weeks. Peter Jenkins rode much of LEJOG raising funds for this vital facility and many of you supported him with generous sponsorship, while fellow rider Chris Mathews may have repaired your bike this summer in exchange for donations to this charity.

Our 2021 Open TT events also raised £208 for Cancer Research UK and £106 for The Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Without your generosity, either as a donor or organiser, the world would be a poorer place and NRC thank you, on behalf of those charities, for your support in 2021.
