On Easter Monday, a new course record was set, and some great times were posted as the rain held off for Newbury Road Club's 25-mile time trial on the H25/1A course along the A4, east of Theale.

Of the 35 finishers, 21 riders came home in less than an hour! Local rider Matt Rossiter (AS Test Team) was fastest in a phenomenal time of 48:11 in the ambient conditions, which is a new course record. (That’s a sustained 30 mph for over 48 minutes!) His team-mate, Sam Barley, also produced an excellent time to come in 2nd behind Matt in 52:08. Third place went to Tom Quinlan (FTP Racing) also with a fast time of 52:35.
